Today, 28 October 2016, we received an order from the Office of the Ombudsman ordering fake Congressman Roel D. Pacquiao to explain on the charges that came from his lying on his residence to be in the province of Sarangani while at the same time serving as a barangay chairman of General Santos City despite the fact he already relinquished residency in General Santos City.

Yesterday, 27 October 2016, we received an order from the House of Representatives Electoral Tribunal (HRET) directing the servicing of summons on the fake congressman.

So that it is a double whammy against Pacquiao.

At the Ombudsman, the fake Congressman Roel Pacquiao is now facing the criminal case of usurpation of authority and administrative violation of conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service punishable by dismissal from the service.

Mr. Pacquiao claimed that even at the time he was serving as a barangay chairman, he already relinquished residency in April 2015 to be able to comply with the Constitution's requirement that anybody who runs for congressman of a district must be a resident therein for at least one year on the day of the election.

If he indeed transferred residence, then he was already not qualified to serve as a barangay chairman. To be a barangay chairman you are required to be a resident of the barangay where you are the chairman.
