Escudero 'political betrayal'
hurts LP ticket in Sorsogon
Liberal Party's vice-gubernatorial bet in Sorsogon is crying out about what he calls as an act of betrayal committed by party-mate congressman Deogracias Ramos, of the 2nd district therein.
Incumbent Sorsogon Board Member Vladimir Frivaldo, grandson of the eight-term governor Juan Frivaldo, is running for vice-governor of Sorsogon under the party of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III.
During the party's caucus on November 30, 2012, Ramos officially endorsed Vice-Governor Antonio H. Escudero as his choice for vice governor race in the May 2013 elections when Escudero is the official candidate of Nationalist People's Coalition.
Due to this betrayal, Frivaldo complained to LP president Mar Roxas, copy-furnishing the other leaders of LP, Senator Franklin M. Drilon, President P-Noy, and Atty. Leny Robredo, LP's congressional candidate in Naga City.
Frivaldo is also raising the specter of the betrayal committed by Senator Chiz Escudero against then LP Vice-Presidential candidate Mar Roxas by officially endorsing Jejomar Binay as vice-president of P-Noy.
