CAUSING
The crash of Interior Secretary Jessie Robredo’s
plane into the sea 200 meters of Masbate may end massive and extremely immoral
tradition of corruption at the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines
(CAAP).
Consider these. It is so gross to spark President Benigno Simeon Aquino III to order total probe of airline regulation system.
Three plane accidents occurred in 10 days, the last
plunging Robredo and three others into the sea of mystery.
Just nine months ago, or December 10, 2011, a Beechcraft
plane plunged into Better Living Subdivision in Parañaque to kill 13, including
three children, burning to the ground 50 houses and damaging 100 shanties.
The Beechcraft accident happened also on a Saturday
afternoon as in Robredo’s.
What is worse, it has been discovered that the
Certificate of Registration and Certificate of Airworthiness of this Beechcraft
plane were issued by then Director General Ramon S. Gutierrez of the Civil
Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) despite the fact that the insurance
policy submitted by its owner was fake.
Not only that. When the Beechcraft wing that hosted
the engine that malfunctioned was torn down to be examined, it shocked the
investigators that the engine had no serial number unlike the other engine. This fact and the fake insurance have never
been announced by the CAAP until today.
Conscience drove this author to reveal these
revolting facts in the much higher interest of precarious safety of the
community, the riding public and the residents of the houses where a plane may
fall given the massive and extremely immoral tradition of corruption in the
CAAP.
All these and all
other deadly crashes that took place during the term of President P-Noy are
logically the criminal, administrative and civil liabilities of no less than
Gutierrez and his men, although he was sacked in the first week of June, 2012
and replaced by EDSA hero Lt. Gen. William Hotchkiss.
If the Beechcraft
developed engine trouble and it was found out it had a defective engine and
spurious insurance policy, it can be reasonably presumed that despite defects
the required certificates were issued to the Piper Seneca plane that carried
and crashed Robredo and company into Masbate waters.
With these
circumstances, it is possible that the difficulty of finding the body of the Piper
Seneca plane has been deliberately done even if the President has been there personally
supervising the rescue operations hoping to find Robredo, the pilot who was
Capt. Jessup Bahinting who happened to be the owner of the plane, and the
trainee co-pilot, Nepalese Kshitiz Chand.

presumption can be applied on the crash that occurred two days before that of
Robredo’s.

On August
16, 2012, a four-seater Cessna plane developed engine trouble before
plunging into the sea off Sitio Lawis, Barangay Bato, Sta. Cruz, Davao del
Sur. The pilot, Capt. Benjamin Baquiao, escaped
death but he was injured. He was saved
by fisherman Tadjar Sahifa who happened to be fishing near the crash site. Baquiao said that the plane underwent maintenance
check before it departed General Santos City.

It was a bit different in the accident that took
place on August 8, 2012. Here, Cebu Pacific caught fire on one of its
engine while descending on the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). It requested priority landing and the pilot
succeeded, saving 124 passengers and seven flight crew members from death. Fire trucks followed the Cebu Pacific plane,

On March
4, 2012, a Cessna plane crashed

Killed in this Camiguin incident were Rachel
Strande, 37, and the Filipino pilot Christian Cesar Cebrecus.
Strande’s husband, Lars, 56, and their
three-year-old son, Jeus Ola, were critically injured.
The Indonesian copilot Nurmala Dewi was
also injured.
On May
17, 2012, a two-seater Italian SF-260 (TP Warrior Number 716) trainer plane
crashed into the sea five (5) kilometers off Corregidor, sending into the sea
of mystery the two pilot officers, 1Lt. Michael Arugay and Maj. Neil Tumaneng, minutes
after taking off Sangley Point in Cavite at 6 a.m. for a proficiency test. (See

On January
12, 2012, a two-seater single engine Cessna -152-II plane with registry no.
RP-C2843 took off from Subic International Airport and was flying toward the
Fly Fast School in Pangasinan when it experienced a sudden drop in oil
pressure.

Obeña sustained bruises in the neck and forehead. The two were rushed to Preisdent Ramon
Magsaysay Memorial Hospital for further medical checkup. Obeña said the plane attempted to reach Iba
Airport to make an emergency landing but at 500 meters from the landing area,
he decided to crash-land at sea which is safer.
Obeña and his student thanked local fishermen for helping them bring the

On December
10, 2011, the six-seater Beechcraft crash-landed into Better Living
Subdivision and killed 13, including three children, the two pilots and a
passenger.
It crashed while attempting to return to
NAIA. It was supposed to fly to San Jose, Mindoro Occidental to pick up a
cargo.
A few second after takeoff at 2:11 p.m.,
pilot Capt. Timothy Albo encountered problems with the aircraft and he immediately
radioed the control tower for an emergency landing status.
He attempted to turn the aircraft around
to head back to NAIA but he never made it.
The aircraft was said to be owned by Aviators Technology Innovators,
Inc.
