MALAYSIA IS FOOLING PHILIPPINES

We lost this, Sandakan, in Sabah.

Malaysia's law website has different translation from Arabic of the CONTRACT between Sultan Alam Kiram on one side and Gustavos Van Overbeck and Alfred Dent on the other side.

Malaysia's official English translation of the contract says that it is "cession" and not "lease."

Cession is that act of giving or transferring to another the ownership over a thing involved.

Lease is that act of allowing another the use of a thing but without giving away ownership.

Yet, Malaysia admits that it has been giving yearly amount of US$1,700 to the Sultanate of Sulu.  This act of giving is FOREVER to be done as long as Sabah exists.

Now, Prime Minister Razak is insisting that the payment given is a payment for the cession of Sabah to Overbeck and Dent and the obligation to give has been transferred by Overbeck and Dent to Great Britain, which in turn transferred to Malaysia the obligation to give the same amount forever.

In other words, Malaysia is paying for the purchase of Sabah.

In the Philippines' official translation done in 1946, it says it is  "lease" and nothing more.  These translations are posted at the Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines.

 NOW, LET ME ASK.

"Is there such a thing as buying (cession) where the payment is forever and the payment is in fixed amount?"

This is OUT AND OUT LIE for Malaysia to claim as such.  It is illogical.  It is EXCEEDINGLY OUTRAGEOUS to the conscience of men.

Ibinigay na sa Pilipinas ang Sabah nang inilipat ito ng Sultan ng Sulu noong 1960s sa kamay ng Republika noong si Diosdado Macapagal pa ang pangulo.
