ALAM helps Philpost workers denounce Josie dela

To dismiss
hundreds of employees receiving a meager salary of P6,000 a month for a reason that
the Philippine Postal Corporation is losing hundreds of millions a year is
quite reasonable, but to hire three (3) consultants for P70,000 each is ironic.
This is how
Alab ng Mamamahayag (ALAM) President Berteni “Toto” Causing see Postmaster
General Josie Dela Cruz’s infamy in managing the affairs of the government
owned and controlled corporation.
ALAM is a
private organization that extends legal assistance to indigent individuals and
groups like the Philpost Rank and File Employees Association or PRAFEA.
In the protest
that called for the ouster of Dela Cruz from the Philpost last February 24,
2012, Causing, who is also the legal counsel of the National Press Club, maintained
that it is inhuman for Dela Cruz to favor three consultants for a salary of P210,000
a month than the 35 workers for the same pay.
In the
November 11, 2011 memorandum of Dela Cruz, she appointed Ma. Lourdes N. Tiquia,
Lilibeth Amatong and Suzette Lopez as consultants for Management, Organizational
Development, and Human Resource, respectively.
The infamy
of Dela Cruz is a shame to the Province of Bulacan where she once served as
governor and where the country’s national heroes like Marcelo H. Del Pilar, also
known as Plaridel, and Gregorio H. Del Pilar came from.
